The ergotec VIPER UP & DOWN is a height-adjustable seatpost for mountain bikes and applications including cross-country, freeride and downhill. With 150 mm of lift, it allows the saddle height to be adapted to different terrain and riding situations. The control cable is routed internally through the seatpost. This supports a clean cable layout and reduces the cable’s exposure to external influences. The construction uses AL 6061 T6 and AL 6066 T6 aluminium alloys. The VIPER UP & DOWN is rated at ergotec Safety Level 6, has no offset and measures 444 mm in length. It is available in diameters of 30.9, 31.6 and 34.9 mm. The seatpost is designed for saddles with round 7 mm rails and for seat tube angles greater than 70°.
