The ergotec AHEAD ADAPTER is a height-adjustment system made from AL 6061 T6 aluminium for compatible 1⅛-inch Ahead stems. Its stepped adjustment allows an effective rise of 56, 61, 66, 71 or 76 mm, enabling the handlebar height to be adapted to the desired riding position. The adapter has a clamp diameter of 28.6 mm and a clamp height of 40 mm. Depending on the version, it is rated at ergotec Safety Level 4 or ergotec Safety Level 6. The Safety Level 6 version is designed for city and trekking bikes as well as e-bikes with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, with a maximum total system weight of 180 kg. The total system weight includes the bicycle, rider and luggage. This requires all other components in the steering system to be approved for the same application and total system weight.
